Lorenda Guest Clendenen, 70, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her residence surrounded by family and friends. She loved and enjoyed her family, as well as cooking and traveling with the Southern Gospel Group "The Harmony Sisters". They ministered to many churches and events for several years through the inspirations of gospel singing. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Her passion was family gatherings and her love for serving the Lord. Lorenda was a Brunswick News Carrier for the past 14 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifford Clendenen; her parents, Frank and Lillian Guest; her brothers, Jim and Harold Guest; and her sister, Barbara Dickerson. She is survived by her daughters, Rene Griffis of Brunswick and Roberta Taylor (Joe) of Louisville, KY; sons, Mark Grooms and Jacob Clendenen both of Brunswick; brother, Leon Guest (Marty) of Alma, GA; sister, Carolyn Franklin (Bruce) of Brunswick; her niece, Eileen Davis of Brunswick; grandchildren, Brandi Dixon (Chuck) of Brunswick, Anthony Taylor of Louisville, KY, Kellci Taylor of Louisville, KY, Kayla Anderson (Nick) of Louisville, KY, Derrick Grooms, Dustin Grooms and Breanna Grooms all of Connecticut, Aaron Grooms of Las Vegas, NV, TJ Griffis of Brunswick; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Brunswick with Rev. Danny Webster and Rev. Leon Guest officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Guest, Jr., Chuck Dixon, TJ Griffis, Anthony Taylor, Jason Franklin, Tim Guest, Brian Guest, and Jeff Guest.
