Lori Ann Lamoureux, 50, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 after a brief illness. Born October 28, 1963, in Chicopee, Mass., she was the daughter of Amelia 'Millie' Lamoureux and the late Donald Lamoureux, who died in February of this year. She lived in Portsmouth for many years and attended local schools. Lori was employed for many years in the police department in King's Bay, GA. She made friends easily and helped foster several children over the years. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and kayaking in the waters around her home in Georgia. In addtion to her mother, of Portsmouth, survivors include her brothers, Wayne Lamoureux and his wife, Kim, and Dean Lamoureux and his wife, Joanne; her dear friend Dawn Waters, nieces and nephew Renee, Drew, Bridget and Briana; and many aunts; uncles and cousins. Friends may visit with her family from noon to 2 pm Sunday, June 22, at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684, State St., Portsmouth.
