Louis "Lou" P. Ficarelli, 82, of Brunswick died Monday at Hospice of the Golden Isles. He had lived here for 63 years, and was stationed at NAS Glynco. He was in Civil Service at Glynco for many years and worked security at the Glynn Place Mall where he retired. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII, and a veteran of the US Air Force Reserves for 31 years. Lou was a Mason and a Shriner in Brunswick, and a member of New Hope Methodist Church.Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Jeannette Ficarelli of Brunswick; 2 daughters, Sandra Shannon of Brunswick, and Valarie Ficarelli of Orlando; a sister, Josephine Gillette of Clovis, CA.; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Heather, Meagan and Maggie, and several nieces and nephews.
