Louise V. Hickox of Brunswick passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She had been a resident of Brunswick since 1939 coming from Waycross. She was a homemaker and school teacher for many years. She taught kindergarten at Altama Presbyterian Church, Goodyear Elementary and Arco. She was also a substitute teacher at Glynn Academy. She was a member of the Brunswick Garden Club, a member of the First United Methodist Church where she also taught Sunday School, a member of the Hospital Auxillary, a charter member of the Brunswick Country Club, the Women''s Club and Jr. Women''s Club. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Croft (Ralph) of Pine Harbor, GA and Elizabeth Dauwalder (Robert) of Roswell, GA; grandchildren, Laura Hughes (William) of Shaker Heights, OH and Ralph Croft, III of Brunswick; great-grandchildren, William Hughes, III and Emily Louise Hughes both of Shaker Heights and Dalton Russell Croft and Anna Lee Rebecca Croft, both of Brunswick. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Homer Hickox, an infant daughter, Nancy Hickox and her granddaughter, Rebecca Croft Sanders. Active pallbearers are: Joey Vann, Michael Vann, Jimmy Vann, Bob Dauwalder, Buz Croft and Chip Croft. The family will be located at 3010 Parkwood Drive in Brunswick. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
