Obituary

Margaret 'Marge' M. Futoran, 56, of St. Simons Island passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Born in Cleveland, OH to Stanley and Mary Kuczmarski, Marge was the second of three girls. She was raised in the home her dad built in Seven Hills, OH. She knew love, warmth, humor and a great family. She was one of the most joyful and creative people you would ever long to meet. Raised in Catholic schools, Marge was a cheerleader and after starting work at the U.S. Navy Finance Center, she became an avid ice skater. Around the Navy Finance Center, Marge embodied a tender, willing heart and had an engaging smile that could melt ice and warm souls. Everybody adored Marge. She seldom had an unkind word toward anyone. Marge and her husband, Ned met in May of 1978 at the U.S. Navy Finance Center. They have two great kids, Tim and Kelly. They have moved from Rocky River, OH to Stow, OH to Omaha, NE to Stow, OH to Columbus, OH to Cuyahoga Falls, OH to St. Louis, MO to St. Simons Island, GA--where the family resides today. Marge was most recently employed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury at FLETC. Marge has two fantastic sisters, Pat and Alice Kuczmarski, both of Cleveland, OH. They have been loving and loyal aunts to Tim and Kelly as well as friends and prayer veterans for them throughout their lives. They unabashedly love their sister, Marge. Most importantly, Marge loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was an active member of Golden Isles Prebyterian Church on St. Simons Island. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Active pallbearers are: Bob Fuller, Greg Sperry, Keith Middleton, Clay Huddleston, Bob Futoran, Greg Hawthorne, David Faulk and David Parks. Honorary pallbearers are: Karen Keen, Renee Shepherd, Sharon Bolin, Betty Harrell, John Kerr, Reginald P. Brown, III, Carolyn Christian, Rodney E. Clarke, Kathryn F. Tarver and Betty A. Vincent. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Golden Isles Prebyterian Church Diaconal Fund, 48 Hampton Point Drive, St. Simons Island, GA 31522. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
