Marguerit e Ann Archer, 87, of Darien died on November 14, 2022, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a long illness. She was born on September 1, 1935, to the late Allen and Doriene Rowe in Port Wentworth, Georgia. She married the late Lawson E Archer on December 24, 1955, in Ridgeland, South Carolina. She worked as a custodian at FLETC and as an aide at Fairhaven but will be most remembered for running a daycare for more than ten years. She frequently visited the nursing homes visiting the residents. Marguerite served her community as Den Mother in the Cub Scouts, the Assistant Leader with the Boy Scouts Troop 219, a Sunday School Teacher, the Superintendent of Sunday Schools, and a member of Council on Ministries.

She is preceded in death by her brother, William Rowe and her sister, Thora Dunaway.

Survivors include her children, Diana Howard (Jody), Arlene Annette Young, and Arthur A Archer; grandchildren, Eric Howard, Brian Clarke, Allison Herring, and Vanessa Archer; several great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Tidemand, Martha Cox, and Frederica Murray; sister-in-law, Patricia Chiles Rowe Toth; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Milk Carton on a String care of Lynn Poppell, Darien, Georgia.

Visitation will be at 10 AM at Darien United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 17, 2022. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM with burial to follow at Brunswick Memorial Park.
