Joy Johnston entered into the loving presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, August 19, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Matthew; sons Joshua and Zachariah; daughters Sara (Brian) Parker and Lisa (David) Rabitor; and grandson Gavin Parker; her mother, Francine Gomillion; and her sister, Linda Brown. She is preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Gomillion and her brother, Craig Gomillion. Joy was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 19, 1954. She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Master of Science in Audiology at Florida State University. She was devoted to her husband and children and to her Lord Jesus Christ. She served the church teaching children, leading women's discipleship, and through world-wide missions. Her travels took her to her favorite cities, Paris, France and Venice, Italy. Joy found beauty in God's creation everywhere she went. Her family loves her and misses her very much. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
