Mary C. Marshall, 78, of Townsend died suddenly Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Mary was born in Montavallo, AL. She lived in Cochran, GA for thirty years where she worked as a Dental Hygienist alongside her husband, Dr. James Marshall. She later retired and made her home in McIntosh County, GA. To know her was to love her. Mary was deeply loved by her family, friends and patients. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, taking walks and especially loved spoiling her grand and great grandchildren! She is preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara Miller, Elizabeth Carr, and Bill Carr; and a grandson, Joel Brown. Mary will be missed by surviving husband, James F. Marshall; sons, Jimmy Marshall (Sandra) and Joe Marshall; sister, Cheryl Ellison (Donnie); brothers, Frank Carr (Rose), Richard Carr (Margerite), Jimmy Carr, and Jeff Carr (Sandra); grandchildren, Noah Marshall, Ryan Marshall, and Jason Brown; and great grandchildren, Andrew Brown and Brylee Pullen. Plus numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice but her favorite was St. Judes' Hospital. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To honor Mary's wishes, a private service will be held.
