Mary Lilla James Head Ogden, 84, of Waynesville, GA entered peacefully in eternal rest November 19, 2023, in Charleston, SC surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cario, GA, November 2, 1939, to the late Benjamin Franklin James and Aline Culpepper James. She moved to Brunswick, GA at age 5 and later moved to Waynesville, GA where she owned and operated Waynesville Hardware.

She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Her energy and love for people will continue to inspire and leave a lasting impact on all whose lives she touched.

Mary leaves a loving family who will cherish her memory. Survived by her sister Virginia Dale Nevitt of Hiram, GA; three children: daughter – Kathy Truluck (Floyd) of Charleston, SC; two sons – Joe Head (Regina) of Buford, GA; Larry Head (Krystal) of Waynesville, GA; a stepdaughter – Glenda Horton (Mickey) of Waynesville, GA; grandchildren – Warren Sneed, Robert Head, Kassandra Perkins, Donavan Head, Daniel Head, Danielle King, Mitchel Horton; great grandchildren – McKinley Sneed, David Perkins Jr., Piper Head, Ellis Head, Samuel King and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn D. Ogden; sister Patricia Ann Guernsey; brother Larry Gerald James; and the father of her children Joseph Woodrow Head.

The family will celebrate her life at a grave side service on Saturday November 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery, 4407 Hwy 17, Brunswick, GA 31525
