Matthew Aaron Grisham, 37, of Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at his home along
with his furbaby, Dominic Jaxon.
Matthew was born on December 17,1985 in Brunswick, Ga. He was a native of Glynn County.
Matthew was employed by Vaughn Home Builders for 8 years.
Since childhood, Matthew loved playing music such as drums, guitar and piano, he played by ear.
He would love to be the center of attention and perform for others. He was such an entertainer.
Matthew loved God with all his heart and radiated his love to everyone he met.
Matthew loved his family so deeply and spending time with them, if you saw one you saw all three of
them! He also loved spending time coaching his son in football and basketball. He was so proud of
Aaron's athletic ability.
Matthew loved his community and spent a lot of time coaching football for local travel football
teams. Matthew never met a stranger that he wouldn't give the shirt of his back for anyone who
needed it.
His hobbies included fishing and football. He loved his
Florida Gators! Chomp chomp
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Annette Grisham and his Grandfather Staford Burney.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Jackie and son Aaron, Mother Donna Grisham, Father Staford Burney
Jr. Sisters Milah Sanchez (Dave) and Miree Burney, Grandmothers Katherine Burney and Ercie Cano,
Mother in Law Debbi Denis, Sister in Law Devin Denis (Shawn), Nephews Broty Fletcher, Mason Himes,
Kayden Burney, Ryker Sanchez, Nieces Chloe Sanchez and Makinleigh Burney and numerous aunts,
uncles, cousins and loved ones.
Pallbearers: Brian Vaughn, Wesley Cox, Karl Self, Chris Greene, Bj McQuaig and Jaxon McQuaig
Honorary Pallbearers: Vaughn Home Builders, A-1 Carpet & Flooring, Glynn County EMA/Search &
Recovery, Sid Roth, It's Supernatural, Glynn County Fire Department, The Georgia Flame Football
Viewing will be held on Monday March 13 at Christian Renewal Center 4265 Norwich Street extension
at 1 pm with funeral starting at 2 pm followed by a graveside service at Chapel Park
In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be sent to
Glynn County Animal Services or Tackle 22 Fishing.
