Maxine Frances Westberry, 98, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on December 7, 2024. She was born on April 25, 1926, as the oldest child of the late Curtis and Iris Cribbs in Screven, Georgia.

Maxine is remembered for her loving dedication to her family and the handmade trinkets she prepared for many of those who knew her. In addition to making quilts for each and every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she also made all sorts of crocheted pieces for those who knew her including handkerchiefs and jar openers.

Maxine worked in retail for J.M. Fields and K-Mart, but also found joy in teaching Sunday School. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clifford Westberry; as well as all five of her siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Larry and Dale Westberry; her daughter, Gail Westberry Neuberger; grandchildren, Brian Westberry (Jill), Stacy Calbreath (Michael), and Chris Rosamond (Holly); nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
