Mike 'Shorty' Westcott passed on September 3rd, 2021, due to complications from COVID-19. He is preceded in death by his parents, Geneva Vann and Garlind Chasteen, and a brother, Steve Chasteen. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Westcott; sons, Matthew Westcott and Sean Westcott; three step-children, Heather Hanson, Kimberly Hanson, and Joseph Sumner; brothers, Charles Westcott, Bruce Chasteen, and Timmy Chasteen; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was an outstanding carpenter who could build or fix anything. He loved motorcycles, fishing, listening to music, fixing bicycles, and helping others. Mike always took the time to stop and listen to others and provide help in any way he could. Mike was truly, truly loved and will be missed by many. The family will announce celebrations at a later date. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home will handle the arrangements.
