Bobbie Jean Harper, 84, died Sunday morning at her residence in Brunswick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 Wednesday at Glyndale Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 at Spring Hill Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Mrs. Harper is survived by a son, Jerry Harper (Beth) of Brunswick; three daughters, Jeanie Cozine (Bill), Sharron Bullock (Tom), and Peggy Hamilton (Charles), all of Brunswick; two sisters, Sue Sheffield and Bonnie Smith of Fort Gaines; a brother Morris Griffin of Lax; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Cordell Harper. Active pallbearers will be Wendell Harper, Jimmy Harper, Chris Bullock, John Hamilton, Shane Harper and Chris Gunter. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Willing Cheerful Workers Sunday School Class, Dr. James Greene and staff, Stacey Benefield, Kim Shafer , Sandy Lane and Michael Chal. A native of Alapaha, Mrs Harper had been a resident of Glynn County since 1956. She was a longtime member of Glyndale Baptist Church. The family ask that memorial contributions be made to the TWG Fund at Glyndale Baptist Church or Hospice of The Golden Isles.The family will be at the home of Jerry Harper. The family is being served by the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
