Clara Elliott Davis Smith was born to Seth and Susie Elliott on June 24, 1925, in Wayne County, Georgia. She went to be with the lord on January 28, 2017. She was a resident of Cusseta, Ga for 49 years and retired as a paraprofessional from the Chattahoochee County School System. She has resided in Tennessee for the last four years. She as proceeded in death by her parents; husbands, Hager Davis (husband of 42 years) and Hassel Smith (husband of 2 years); sister, Bertie Westberry; brothers, Calvin Elliott, William Elliott and Seth Elliott, Jr. and grandson, Alvin Strickland, Jr. Left to treasure her memory are a son, Richard Davis of Nashville, TN; daughters, Linda Spence of Logoff, SC and Susan Strickland of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Robert Elliott of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Ben Davis, Rod Strickland and Duane Spence; granddaughters, Lisa Faris, Rhonda Houghton and Melanie Groh; and nieces, nephews and many friends. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Friday, February 3rd at Palmetto Cemetery. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
