Myrtis L. McKinley, 87, of Brunswick passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Mrs. McKinley moved to Glynn County in 1947 from Macon, GA to work for Georgia Power. She had worked in Macon for the Railway Express. She later worked for 24 years at Hercules, Inc. in the Clerical and Purchasing department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Together Sunday school class. She was also active in the Urbana Lunch Club and the Georgia Power Ambassador''s Club. She is survived by her two sons, Lewis G. McKinley, Jr. of Brunswick and his wife, Margaret S. 'Sunny' McKinley and Gary B. McKinley and his wife, Lisa Carter McKinley of Flower Mound, TX; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
