Naomi R. Eason passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home on St. Simons Island under the care of Affinis Hospice. She was 91 years of age.
Naomi was born January 19, 1935, in Cambridge, Maryland, to Oliver and Margaret Tyler. She graduated from Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Maryland in 1953, and worked at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
On April 4, 1957, she married Robert Lee Eason. Shortly thereafter, she joined her husband in the seafood industry. Together, they moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where they owned a small seafood business. In 1987, they relocated to Darien, Georgia, where they owned and operated Darien Soft Crab for many years before retiring.
Naomi was a member of Golden Isles Church of God for several years where she and her husband volunteered at the church food bank. They also enjoyed cooking seafood for church dinners and fellowship gatherings. She was an active member until her health prevented her from attending services approximately two and a half years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Eason, who passed in 2019, and her son, Greg Eason, who passed in 2014; her parents, and one sister, Margaret Anne Tyler.
Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Barbara Tyler; brother-in-law, Gordon Behrens; and grandson Michael Lewis. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 am followed by the Funeral Service at 11 am with Reverend Justin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick Memorial Park, where Naomi will be laid to rest beside her husband.
