Nellie Jean Howard, 70, of Brunswick, Ga. passed away on October 9, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick, Georgia. Born on February 17, 1953, to Alvin Rowland and Nell Mae Dixon Jackson in Perry, Florida.

She was born and raised in Perry, Fla. and later moved Camden County Georgia. Most all of her life she worked in daycare and taught many children through the years. Nellie loved to grow flowers, paint, and work with clay. She even wrote a few songs along the way. She was always there to help people and dearly loved her family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by sisters: Leigha Jackson Ellison and Dana Anderson.

Nellie is survived by 2 daughters, Kay Floyd (Steven), Lindsey Morgan (Danny); a son, Aaron Howard (April); 8 grandchildren, Robbie Gowen (McKenzie), Dalton Gowen (Kayla), Daisy Jones (Dylan), Garrett Howard, Grayson Howard, Gibson Howard, Owen Morgan, Riley Morgan; 2 great-grandchildren, Maylie and Landon; and one on the way, Delilah; her sister, Linda Rowland and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be on Friday, October 13th, 2023, at 3:00 PM at the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Woods officiating.
