IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nona "Jane" Price
Henderson
November 24, 1941 – January 5, 2026
Nona "Jane" Price Henderson, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Brunswick on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Willard Hubert and Carrie Nelle English Price, Jane grew up in Milledgeville where she graduated from high school and college. She earned a master's degree from Columbia University in New York City in 1965 and thus began her career as a social worker. She was a resident of Glynn County since 1974 and, at the time of her retirement from the State of Georgia, she was a social worker in Glynn County.
Jane was an active member of Bay Harbour Church of God where she was very involved with the outreach programs. She had a deep, abiding faith and she served the Lord she loved throughout her life, including her work as a social worker. She was committed to sharing her faith to help guide, comfort, and restore others on their life journey through Christ. She often said her reward would be to see you in heaven.
Graced with a great sense of humor, and being quite a talker, she especially loved to entertain with funny stories about her parents and growing up with her brothers in Milledgeville.
Jane had enough love for everyone, and she truly made the world a better place.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell L. Henderson, brothers, James Willard Price and Michael Hubert Price, and stepson, David Henderson.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Russell Henderson (Diane) of St Simons Island, Rick Henderson (Angie) of Opelika, AL, and Debbie Henderson and Susan Watson, both of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Melanie Harden, Jennifer Floyd, Byron Henderson, Joshua Henderson, Lyndsey Rose Chamberlain, Cliff Henderson, Daniel Henderson, Russ Henderson, Marshall Henderson, Hunter Watson, and Katie Griffin; twenty great-grandchildren; countless nieces, nephews, and cousins on the Henderson, Price, and English sides of her family; and many close and cherished friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
Services will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at Bay Harbour Church of God. Viewing will begin at 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will begin at noon, with Reverend John Harris officiating, and burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park. The funeral service will also be available on Bay Harbour Church of God's social media pages.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Sweat, Salomon Perez, Hunter Watson, Brad Anderson, Greg Atwood, and Clay Price.
Family and friends wish to acknowledge Heartland Hospice with special and heartfelt thanks to Marla Nalley, Roxy Flowers, Ashley tucker, and Valerie Jenkins, for their love and tender care in Jane's final days.
