Norman Konrad Strickland Sr, 84, of Brunswick, GA died on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. Born on December 2, 1936 to the late Norman and Louise Trull Strickland in Augusta, Georgia, he married the late Christine Barnard Strickland on June 11, 1955, at Primitive Baptist Church in Jesup. A Navy Veteran, he retired from the postal service after thirty-eight years. He is preceded in death by one son, Joseph Mark Strickland and four siblings. He is survived by two sons, Norman Strickland Jr. (Robin) and Dobie Lee Strickland (Donna); seven grandchildren, Chuckie Strickland (Elizabeth), Kristen Lee Strickland (Lisa), Betty Louise Strickland, Heidi Strickland Tyler, Mikey Johnson (Felecia), Samatha Lynn Ryals, and Heather Ryals; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, a sister, Wanda Martin; brother-in-law, Robert Barnard (Shirley); and his special niece, Fran Bessent (Mike). In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 26th, 2021 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
