With sorrow we announce the passing of Pauline B. Nelson of St. Simons Island, Georgia on May 1, 2010. Loving wife, mother and grandmother she was born in Starke, Florida on July 22, 1928. Married to Jack Nelson for 61 years she called the Golden Isles her home since 1960. After a strong and brave fight with several illnesses she passed away at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Predeceased by her parents Raiford and Ruby Brannen she is survived by her husband, Jack Nelson along with her two children and three grandchildren. Her son Ben Nelson and his wife Becky, her daughter, Jackie Jordan and her husband Ronnie were the light of her life but her grandchildren meant everything to her. Her grandchildren, Travis Nelson, his wife Leslie, Brandon Nelson and Kelli Jordan were her biggest supporters. Pauline was the Secretary/Treasurer of her husband's business, Alpha Motor Sales but devoted most of her time insuring that her family was well taken care of. From Boy Scout Leader to Girl Scout Leader she was the strength and center of her family. Even in her death her spirit will continue to guide her family.
