Peggy Trussell Freeman passed away peacefully on March 4, 2021. Born in Reynolds, Georgia on August 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late W.M and Julia Trussell. Peggy will always be remembered as a devoted mother, friend to many, and master baker of cheese straws. She enjoyed coffee, dancing, and spending time with her close friends and family. Peggy is survived by her children, Zoe (David) Gattie of Watkinsville, GA, Lorri (Phil) Stembridge of Macon, GA, and Trey (Michelle) Freeman of St. Simons Island, GA; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Molly) Gattie, Annah Kaye (Scott) Hardin, Dylan (Christian) Freeman, Zachary (Abby) Gattie and Anzley Beth Freeman; five great-grandchildren, Bennett, Miles, and Lainey Gattie; Brooks and Davis Hardin; and two brothers, Billy Trussell and Joe Trussell. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Bobby and Jack Trussell. Due to the current health climate, there will not be a public memorial service. Her family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers or meals that you would consider honoring her by making a donation to your favorite charity in her name.
