She loved her plants, crafting, holidays, and her family but her real abiding passion was her family and friends. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that in her eyes could never do any wrong.
One of the most important things in Penny's earlier years was gardening. She took great pride in her flowers, gardening, and crafts. This paved way for a rewarding and satisfying job in the Hobby and Craft Industry. She loved country music, to dance, and the holidays especially Christmas. You could count on her to be present for any family event with food in hand as she loved to cook but was not very fond of washing dishes. She also loved chocolate, and Aunt Jean's pound cake.
Her character and temperament can best be shown from the three times she was diagnosed with cancer. She had every right to be mad or even fall into depression after her diagnosis but instead she loved and lived every moment she was given. She never complained, maintaining a brave and cheerful outlook of an optimistic future - even through countless radiation and chemotherapy treatments, hospitalizations and pain. Neither tough times nor cancer would rob her of who she was.
We wish to thank those who have extended prayers and emotional support for Penny during her final days. Following the service, the family will host a Lunch for Family and Friends.
