Rachel B. Varnedoe, 92, of Brunswick, died Saturday at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She had lived here most of her life, and was a member of the Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church. She was a retired private duty nurse. She is survived by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Huggins (and Van) Troxell of Brunswick; 3 grandsons, David Huggins Jr, Sam Huggins, and Arthur Huggins. 10 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Also by 2 nieces, Francis Gay and Dorothy Bozeman. She was predeceased by a daughter, Helen Huggins. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested be sent to the American Cancer Society. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is serving the family of Rachel B. Varnedoe.
