Ray F. Jones Ray Fredrick Jones was born June 29, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Although small in stature Ray was a sweet and gentle giant. He expressed the desire to "just slip away" and he did just that, snuggled up to his wife on June 2, 2015, with his three children and their spouses gathered around. There was no fanfare, no sign of struggle; in perhaps 20 seconds he slipped away. He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Bennett Jones; his son, Donny R. Jones and his wife, Christina of Helotes, Texas; daughter Sheri J. Lawrence and her husband, Richard of Brunswick, Georgia; and daughter Robin J. Minor of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and their families, Dawn L Miller, her husband Clint, sons Cameron and Brady; Heidi M. Rees, husband Danny, sons Stephen, Nathaniel, Simon, and Joshua; Richard R. Lawrence and sons Preston, Max, Sam and their mother, Sube Lawrence; Wendi L. Williams, husband Noah, and children, Mason and Alli; and Heather Jones and her fiancé Edwin Lui; Kimberly Minor, John Christopher Minor and their father John Minor. Ray's family also included those chosen by love, Mark Moyer, Winnie Skarpalezos, and Diane Drumps. Survivors also include Ray and Billie's extended family who loved him and whom he loved intensely and well. Visitation will be June 6, 2015 at Lakeside Methodist Church at 9 a.m., to be followed by the funeral at 10 a.m. and graveside service at Brunswick Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be Golden Isles Camping Club, Woodmen of the World Lodge 320, the medical staff of the Brunswick Campus, Southeast Georgia Health System, and Staff of the Brunswick Cancer Care Center.
