Rebecca Ann Smith, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt passed away on August 11, 2023, in Brunswick, Georgia, at the age of 61. She was born on November 5, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas to her parents, Jennifer Elizabeth Coleman and John Boyd Lawing. Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Wayne Charles Jackson.

Rebecca's career as a Registered Nurse was marked by her compassion towards her patients. She used her skills and knowledge to provide care and support to those in need.

In addition to her professional achievements, Rebecca had a passion for art, cats, the beach and growing flowers. She enjoyed expressing herself through various artistic mediums, finding solace and joy in the creative process. Her artistic talent was a reflection of her vibrant and imaginative spirit. She could always create something out of nothing.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Gregg Smith, and their children, Jennifer Dawn Ochsner (Smith) and Shane Austin Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Elliott Wolf and Artyom Jameson, her brother, Richard Matthew Lawing, and sister, Marina Darlene Bell. Rebecca will be dearly missed by her niece, Melissa Steffey (Bell), and nephews, Steven Lee Barnett and Joshua Lawing.
