Obituary

Rev. Charles W. Clayton, 87, a resident of Brunswick, died Friday evening at Sears Manor. A native of Muscadine, Alabama, Rev. Clayton had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 55 years. He was an ordained minister with the Church of God for 67 years. Rev. Clayton was a former minister at Norwich Street Church of God, now Golden Isles Church of God. He was very much involved in evangelistic ministry with the Church of God. Rev. Clayton is survived by one son, Wayne "Chuck" Clayton of Brunswick; three daughters, Jeanette Sweat of Brunswick; Twinkie McDaniel of Atlanta; Debbie Alvey (David) of Dandridge, Tenn; one sister, Eunice Trapp of Cedartown; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his precious wife, Phronie Spivey Clayton.
