IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rhonda Jean
Woodrow
January 16, 1959 – July 3, 2023
With heavy hearts we bid farewell to our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Rhonda Woodrow of Brunswick, Ga, who peacefully departed from this world on July 3rd, 2023. Rhonda was a vibrant soul, known for her feisty and fiery spirit that endeared her to all who knew her.
Rhonda's zest for life was evident in everything she did. She embraced every moment with joy and laughter, making her a cherished presence in the lives of many. Her warm and welcoming nature meant that she easily embraced others as family. Rhonda had a deep love for the beach, finding solace and inspiration in its calming embrace. Photography was her creative outlet, capturing precious memories and moments that would forever be treasured.
In Rhonda's journey, she faced her fair share of loss. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary and Glendal Purvis, her dear sister, Brigitte Wilett, and her beloved grandson, John Wesley Justice. Their memories will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Rhonda leaves behind a legacy of love, as she is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Jack Woodrow, who stood by her side through every up and down. She will also be deeply missed by her five children: Michael Woodrow (Pohl Eareckson) of Sophia, NC, Michael Carr (Priscilla Carr) of Brunswick, Marlena Smith of Kingsland, Kyle Woodrow (Christina Woodrow) of Brunswick, and Stephen Woodrow of Kingsland. Rhonda's love extended to her cherished grandchildren: Ein Carr (Marylin Carr), Dominic Gress, Kylie Woodrow, Trista Carr, Ariel Woodrow, Ariana Woodrow, Jaylen Smith, and Jaxson Smith. We eagerly await the arrival of Rhonda's first great-grandchild, Miles Carr, who will carry her spirit forward.
Beyond her immediate family, Rhonda has survived by 5 siblings. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend, Margaret Ziegler of Brunswick and many of the other St. Mark's Towers neighbors that befriended her during her residence. There is no doubt that she played various important roles in the lives of many. She was a sister, aunt, cousin, and adopted mom and grandmom to countless others. The impact she made on the lives of those around her is immeasurable, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift us.
At this time, no events are scheduled, but the family is making preparations for a memorial service in the near future. Together, we will honor Rhonda's remarkable life and find solace in the shared memories we hold dear.
In conclusion, let us remember Rhonda as a beacon of love, joy, and strength. May her spirit live on in our hearts, guiding us to embrace life with the same fervor and zest that she displayed. Rest peacefully, dear Rhonda, knowing that your presence will forever be felt in our lives.
