Reverend Robert Harold Edenfield, 90, of Waynesville, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles. Born on June 9, 1932, to the late John and Ruby Edenfield, Robert dedicated over 50 years of his life to the ministry.

Robert was preceded in death by the love of his life; Ruth Virginia Edenfield, as well as his second wife; Wilene Walden Edenfield, and sister; Melba Mosley.

He is survived by his children, Susan Keene, Michael Edenfield, and Gary Edenfield; his sisters, Johnnie Faye Collins, Joanne Sheffield, Judy Young; brothers, John Edenfield, Billy Edenfield, and Bobby Edenfield; and 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

When he was not spreading the word of God, Robert could often be found spending quality time in his prayer shed, reading the bible, or riding his bicycle. He enjoyed collecting matchbox cars, vintage coins, and watching old western movies. Robert truly was a family man and took great pleasure in spending time with those who meant the most to him. His family fondly remembers his love for cooking and helping his wife of 58 years, Ruth, in creating coconut balls and delicious candy every year at Christmastime.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 9, 2022, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home at 6:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Bay Harbor Church of God at 11:00 AM with a committal service at Chapel Park Cemetery.
