Robert 'Bob' M. Hanson, 80, Brunswick, died Wednesday at Fairhaven Assisted Living. He was born in Madison, WI, and had lived in Glynn County since 1968. He was in the automotive repair business all of his life and was a longtime member of St James Lutheran Church. He was a golfer, and a past member of Diamond Bar D Saddle Club. Surviving are his wife, Marion Jeanette Parrish Hanson of Bwk; 2 sons, Dennis R. Hanson (Irene) of Coos Bay, OR, and Mark A. Hanson (Mary) of Darien. A daughter, Carrie H. (Tim) Lancaster of Savannah; 1 step son, Mitchell Lewis (Kelly) Parrish of Kingsland, and 2 step daughters, Lynn (Joe) Viera of Brunswick., and Beryl Parrish of Mt. Vernon, MO.. 2 sisters, Shirley Nichols of Arvada, CO., and Gloria (Larry) Miller also of Arvada CO. 2 brothers, Merlin (Pat) Hanson of Beloit, WI, and David (Donna) Hanson also of Beloit, WI. He was predeceased by Elizabeth Mathews Hanson (1985), his wife of 37 years, and a step-son, Alan Parrish, and a sister, Donna Gelumbis. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
