IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Nider
Hazouri, Sr.
January 1, 1929 – March 24, 2026
Robert Nider Hazouri, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 97, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Robert—affectionately known as “Bob”—grew up surrounded by the love of his parents, David and Pearl Hazouri, and his siblings, David Hazouri, Laura Lukaszewski, and Elizabeth Baine, all of whom preceded him in death. His childhood was filled with adventure and cherished memories, including one of his proudest moments: winning a paddle ball tournament at Riverside Park and walking home with his prize—a transistor radio.
After graduating school, Bob proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for two years. Upon returning home, fate stepped in when his boss introduced him to a new employee, Patricia Ann Peeples, with the words, “This is your date for the dance.” That introduction began a beautiful love story that lasted 63 years until Patricia’s passing in 2016.
Bob was known for his warm personality and a smile that could light up any room. He had a pioneering spirit and a passion for real estate, which began during the construction of I-10 in Jacksonville. He purchased homes, relocated them, and lovingly renovated them for their new owners, building not just houses, but opportunities and community.
Above all, Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He loved deeply and passionately—his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a devoted father and a proud patriarch.
Bob also had a love for golf and enjoyed watching sports. After the passing of his beloved wife, his church community became an integral part of his life. His faith in the Lord was unwavering, and he lived each day with gratitude for his many blessings and his long, fulfilling life.
He is survived by his children, Robert “Bobby” N. Hazouri, Jr., Cheryl Bricker, and Renee Gross (Bill), grandchildren, Kelly Hazouri, Justin Hazouri, Joshua Darley, Chase Bricker (Sarah), Tatum Taylor (Kyle), Andrew Gross (Camila), and Lindsey Jones (Jake), and, 7 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and fond friends who will carry his memory forward. Also known as “jiddu” among family,
Bob’s life was one well lived—full of love, laughter, faith, and dedication. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. There will be no service at this time. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Ravens of Elijah Food Ministries, Inc.,130-1 Scrubby Bluff Rd., Kingsland GA 31548.
