Robert E. Hilliard, a.k.a. Muggs, 58, of Brunswick, GA died on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA. Born on January 6, 1962, Robert managed to experience more in his 58 short years than some could in two lifetimes. Although not all good experiences, he would be the first to tell you that he wouldn't trade one second or change any of it because it shaped him into the man he had become. Most men live in fear; fear of death, and fear that they will be forgotten or not leave their mark on the world when they're gone. Robert was not one of those men. His mark on the world can be seen in the faces and heard in the stories of those who knew him. I doubt even he realized the impact he had on some of our lives, or how much the void left by his absence will continue to do so. He is survived by his daughter, Christy Lynn Tucker, his son, Christopher Scott Hilliard, his mother, Doris Hilliard, his sister, Wanda Hummel, as well as his 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, extended family, and countless friends he cherished along the way. He is also survived by his lifelong sidekick and best friend, Buddy; his Pomeranian K-9 companion that needs no introduction to anyone who has ever had one conversation with Robert. I hope he knows that our days will be a little less bright without his infectious laughter and constant upbeat attitude, even at the worst of times. We love you Pop, more than some of us even realized. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Saved by Grace/Rhema community church; with Rick Wagner officiating.
