Robert 'Bobby' A. Kern, 54, of Hortense, passed away Saturday at Hospice Satilla in Waycross. He was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and was a former shrimper and fisherman. He was a Tugboat operator all over the world. He liked to hunt and fish, and attended Christian Renewal. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Hope Kern of Hortense; his parents, Thurmond and Marie Kern of Hortense, a son Thurmond Kern II of Hortense, a daughter, Victoria Hope Kern of Hortense, a sister, Donna Marie Kern of Brunswick, and a brother, Matt (Darlene) Kern of Sterling. Also Nieces and Nephews Ronnie (Angel) Cole, Lizzie Kern, T.C. Hope and Crystal Simpson. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Bill Ligon officiating.
