Robert Dale Leebern, Sr., 73, died Saturday, May 27th, 2017. A private memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 2nd at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery and Funeral Home in Brunswick, Georgia. The Reverend Wright Culpepper will be officiating. Mr. Leebern was a member of St. Simons United Methodist Church. The son of the late Virginia G. and Donald M. Leebern, Sr., he grew up in Columbus, Georgia and graduated from Columbus High School. He attended the University of Georgia. Prior to his retirement, he was Senior Executive Vice President of Georgia Crown Distributing Company and served on its Board of Directors. In addition, he served on the Boards of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia and the Georgia Beer Wholesalers Association. Mr. Leebern was a longtime supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. The brother of the late Fayette D. Leebern, he is survived by his two sons, Robert D. Leebern, Jr. and his wife, Wendy of Atlanta, Lynwood R. Leebern and his wife Shannon, of Savannah; his two daughters, Dalee L. Merrill and her husband, Ramsey, and Lacie L. Leebern; five grandchildren, Carson Dorough, Miller Leebern, Winslett Merrill, Briggs Leebern, and Bizzy Leebern; two brothers, Donald M. Leebern, Jr. of Athens, GA and his wife Suzanne, and William D. Leebern and his wife Sherry of Ponte Vedra, FL; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends from all over.
