Ronald Eugene Gray, age 85, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 27, 2026.

Ron was born on November 4, 1940, in Columbus to Armande and Alice Gray. He lived a life marked by faith, warmth, and quiet strength. He found his greatest joy in being with people. He was always the first to show up for the important moments in others' lives. A devoted husband, father, grandfather ("Pip-Pip"), brother, and friend; his unconditional love was evident to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his bright smile and infectious laughter, his stories of his life's adventures, and his remarkable ability to recall even the little details about you.

He was dedicated to his career in mortgage banking and proudly served his country. Ron had a deep love for fishing and cherished many trips to Armstrong Outpost in Ontario, Canada, with his close friends. He also enjoyed sports, especially golf, as well as music and traveling.

Ron was proceeded in death by his parents, Armande and Alice Gray, and brothers, Richard Gray and Robert Gray. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Nancy; his brother, Charles Gray (Anita); his children, Deborah Wright, Rhonda (Paul) Griffith, and Alice (Lloyd) Huffer; his grandchildren, Derek (Mariann) Wright, Sarah (Jon) Kelley, Bradley (Becky) Griffith, Ryan (Caitlin) Griffith, Brooke Huffer, Erin (Patrick) Louissaint, Trey Huffer, and Rachel (Casper) Montgomery; and his great-grandchildren, Tyson, Grayson, and Mayson Wright; Clark and Parker Kelley; Charles, Andrew, and Stephen Griffith; Euri and Proux Louissaint; and Dorothea Montgomery. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Calling hours will be held on April 25, 2026 at 10 am at Sunbury Christian Church (870 Admiral Drive, Sunbury, Ohio 43074). A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sunbury Christian Church or St. Jude's in Ron’s memory.

Ron is deeply missed and will be forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
