IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rose Bonnie
Hardy
April 6, 1939 – June 7, 2024
Rose B Hardy, born and raised in the Binghamton area of Upstate New York, fell into the arms of the Lord on Friday June 7, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Helen Vorobel. She now joins her husband and best friend of more than fifty years, David Niles Hardy who passed in 2012, who has been awaiting her arrival in a better place.
Rose is survived by her loving sons, David Hardy (wife Susan Hardy) of Jacksonville, Florida and Craig Hardy (wife Michelle Hardy) of Modesto, California, who were at her side when she passed. She is also survived by several grandchildren (Kyle, Kelsey, McKenna, Ryan, Ethan, and Jacob) who filled her with immense joy. Everyone who met Rose understood her incredible devotion to her family and pride for the individuals they have become. Rose was the youngest of seven children: brothers John, Paul, George, and Mike and sisters Helen and Irene. She was close to her siblings and frequently shared the wonderful stories of her childhood. Rose is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, many of whose lives have been impacted by her.
Rose was a highly personable woman who made friends easily and found joy in simple conversations with friends from all walks of life. Rose was a strong, resilient woman who battled illness for several years. Despite her battle, she never complained and consistently maintained a positive outlook, as she did in all aspect of her life. She loved to spend summers at her family cottage on Cayuga Lake. She was known to find "deals" at garage sales, loved cooking massive Eastern European dishes for her family and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends multiple times per week. Rest assured Rose has already found a bingo game in heaven and has won a game or two.
We love you Mother and cannot wait to see you again.
