Sally Kathryn Kinchen Dugger was born on July 27, 1939, in Cairo, Georgia to the late Hiram and Pearl Kinchen. Kathryn was the youngest of three girls, Martha Kinchen Lovett and the late Brunell Kinchen Tyus.

Kathryn passed away peacefully on March 24, Palm Sunday, at Bayview Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Kathryn leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Cecil Dugger, and two daughters, Karen Dugger and Marsha Johns (Jerry). She is also fondly remembered by many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Kathryn was a devoted, loving wife and mother who was deeply loved in return. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior, and her life was a testimony of her faith.

Kathryn's hobbies included playing the piano, enjoying nature, flowers and birdwatching, spending time with family and friends, participating in church activities and creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her smile could brighten any room. Her sweet spirit and sense of humor were appreciated by all who knew her.

Kathryn was well loved and cared for by her family and, in her final year of life, by the wonderful staff at Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta, Georgia.

A service will be held at First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia on Friday, April 5, 2024.Visitation will begin at 2 pm followed by a memorial service at 3 pm.
