IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy La Vern
Wester
May 23, 1969 – October 20, 2022
With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Timothy La "Vern" Wester, 53, of Waycross, GA on
Oct 20, 2022, due to heart complications. Vern was born in Warner Robins, GA but primarily
resided in Jacksonville, FL and South GA, enjoying the southern charm and living a quiet
life. Although he has shaken his mortal bonds, his brilliant, colorful, loving spirit lives on. His
family, extended family, and friends will carry on his legacy. In his passing, we will remember
the fond memories that we made together with him.
In this moment of sadness and mourning, we remember all the love that he shared with us and
anyone who encountered him. He was an artist, musician, chef, and literal genius whose body
just couldn't keep up with his brilliance.
Through event planning and catering, cooking for the hospital, creating art and music, gifting his
graphic design abilities, and volunteering his time to help those in need, Vern knew how to
celebrate life and support people when they were at their most vulnerable.
Vern was an amazing human, unlike any other. He is survived by his father & step-mother Larry
Samuel & Joan D. Wester, his sister/side-kick Brande Wester & brother-in-law David Dick, aunt
& uncle Jean & Imre Volgyi, and many cousins including Terri Tenhoor & Tracey Piscopo. He
is also survived by his extended (chosen) family Christy Green, Jonathan Bryant & Joshua
Brzoaka, Barry Beasley, Kathy Anderson, Denise Simmons, William Cowan, Stephen Dare,
Adam Geda his roommates Julie Williamson & Will Moore plus many others he was blessed to
share his life with.
He was proceeded in death by his amazingly talented mother, Edna Tim Smith Wester, his
cousins Keila Knight & Kevin Knight, and his chosen brother Daniel Brzoaka whose lives were
all tragically cut way too short. His grandmothers Edna "Nana" Smith and Elizabeth "Lib"
Wester, and both grandfathers also proceeded him in death. We take comfort in knowing that
they are all together, rejoicing, and watching over us.
To honor Vern, a Celebration of Life will be held at Eleven Thirty AM, Saturday, January
Seventh at The Garden Club of Jacksonville; 1005 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32204. As
you all know, Vern was the light of the party, and he wouldn't want this celebration to be
anything less than fun and fabulous.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Satilla Hospice House Waycross, at 808 Evergreen Way,
Waycross, GA 31501, whose loving care makes all the difference when families need it the most.
In this time of remembrance, the family would love to hear your fondest memories of Vern by
