Valen Nettles, Jr., 63, sunrise March 19, 1957 sunset January 30, 2021 of Brunswick, died Saturday at Southeast Georgia Health System. He worked for the City of Detroit Water and Sewage serving as a Field Engineer Inspector and retired in 2004. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Rhonda Nettles, three sons and three daughters Valentius(Azalea)Nettles, Damarius(Calvinetta)Nettles, Rhonda (Pierre)Mendy, nine grandchildren Christian, Hannah, Noah, Josiah, Joseph, Eli, Seth, Simon, and James. Valen was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather known to his grandchildren as "Poppie". The love and devotion he had for the true God Jehovah and Lord and Savior Jesus helped him teach neighbors, friends, and passersby about bible truths. Arrangements will be announced later. Cremation services were provided by Golden Isles Cremation Center/ Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
