Vanita 'Christine' Brizendine, 82, of St. Simons Island passed away December 17th at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She moved here in 1983 from Jonesboro, Ga., and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor James McIlrath officiating. Burial will follow in the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. She is survived by 2 daughters, Gail (Alex) Coleman of Jonesboro, GA; and June (Ike) Hallman of Defiance, MO.; one sister, Louise Jones of Waynesville, Ga.; grandchildren, Christopher Coleman, Laura Coleman, and Erica Hallman; great grandchildren, Alexis Coleman, and Lydia Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.
