Viola B. O'Neal, 89, of Brunswick, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She was a longtime resident of Brunswick and was a member of the Glyndale Baptist Church 54 Years. She was always faithful to her Sunday School class at Glyndale, and also active in the Golden Harvest club. She is survived by her husband, George H. O'Neal of Brunswick; 2 sons, Larry D. (Jonva) O'Neal of Charlotte, N. C.; and David T. (Debbie) O'Neal of Picayune, Miss; A daughter, Ruby Thompson of Waycross and a sister, Melba (Vernon) Thornton of Baxley. 9 Grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 10 at Glyndale Baptist Church at 3:00 P.M, with burial to follow in the Brunswick Memorial Park Mausoleum. Reverend Ken Creekmore to officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be sent to Hospice of the Golden Isles, or to the Glyndale Baptist Church.
