Virginia Joy Davis, 100, of Waycross, died Tuesday at the Baptist Village. As a young girl, Virginia spent much of her free time helping her father with his pottery business. She was a professional seamstress for most of her life, with much of her clientele being from Brunswick, St. Simons Island, and Sea Island. She was a past member of Glynn Haven Baptist Church, and was currently a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, T.W. Davis; two sons, Leslie G. Caldwell and Richard A. Caldwell; and parents, Alfred and Annie Lawton.She is survived by a daughter, Anne Davis Fouche of Brunswick; former son-in-law, Gary W. Fouche of St. Simons Island, and daughter-in-law, Wedia Caldwell of Texas; four grandchildren, Debbie (Robert) Fouche Kolsch, Lori (Trevor) Fouche Huffaker, Kay Donna (Darrell) Caldwell Davis, and Keith (Denise) Caldwell; six great grandchildren, Hannah Kolsch, Austin Huffaker, Holton Huffaker, Kyndall Davis, Camryn Caldwell, and Cole Caldwell.
