William “Bill” Eugene Chapman, 87, passed away on April 24, 2026, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick GA.

Born on May 10, 1938, in Harpers Ferry, WV. Bill was the son of the late James R. Chapman and Thelma M. Hough Chapman. He was a devoted member of Forest View Baptist Church, Woodbine GA. A long haul truck driver most of his life, he owned and operated his own company, Maple Leaf Transportation, for over 25 years out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Bill is survived by his children, Crystal Chapman, Debbie Davis (Walter), Darryl Chapman (Sandy), and Tim Chapman (Christina); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and his favorite dog Gizmo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his four children, Betty J. Chapman. His beloved wife, Carrie Chapman; his brother, Robert Chapman; sisters, Evelyn Morrow, Edith Markley, and Kathryn Bradley; and great-granddaughter, Libby Jane Doiron McKenna.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
