William "Russ" G.
Manning
Dec 29, 1964 — Aug 28, 2026
Brunswick
William G. “Russ” Manning, 61, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. He was born in Jesup, Georgia on December 29, 1964, to the late Carl and Lavada Manning.
Russ was a proud 1982 graduate of Brunswick High School. He began his career in law enforcement, serving as a police officer with the City of Brunswick and later with the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office. After turning in his badge, Russ pursued a new career as a certified precision millwright. His work took him all over the United States, providing him with opportunities to see places and experience things that became part of his unique life story.
Outside of work, Russ enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends. He also had a special love for animals and shared his life with many beloved pets over the years.
Russ will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Leasia A. Manning; his three daughters, Sarah C. Manning, Mekayla C. Manning (Buddy Sands), and Amy E. Dykes (Chris); two granddaughters; four grandsons; one great-grandson; and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home was honored to assist the Manning family.
