William S. Sloan, 92, of Brunswick, passed away at his home on April 12, 2019. Born in Hortense, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air force and a pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. He also retired from the Georgia Air National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Burnett Turner Sloan, four brothers; Allan Sloan, Gene Sloan, Hershel Sloan, Bobby Sloan. One sister, Zuby Woverton, and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Monday, April 15, 2019, from 5-7 PM at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bacon County at 3:00 PM. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
