Obituary

Willie Mack Odom, was born on May 18, 1939. He was the second oldest son born to the late Mack and Affie Ogelsby-Odom. He was called to heaven to be one of God's angels on December 1, 2018. Willie was born and raised in Millen, Georgia and was educated in the Jenkin County School System. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Affie Odom two sisters Mary Odom and Emma Clark one son Harry Kennick-Odom and one granddaughter Adrianna Kay Barron. Willie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Lee Hunter at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Millen, Georgia. He was a proud member of Friendship Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia where he faithfully served on their Usher Board for many years. Willie was a person of many talents: laborer, mechanic, repairman, and farmer. He was a dedicated employee of Georgia Pacific, where he was a forklift driver until his retirement. Willie was well known and loved within his community. He was a kind, helpful and friendly person to everyone he encountered. He was a loving and caring father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves a legacy of love and memories to his beloved family which includes two devoted daughters Kay Barron of Brunswick, Georgia and Dale Kennick of Venice Beach California. His children's mother Iona "Phyllis" Weeks-Odom of Brunswick, Georgia, One granddaughter Kylaa Barron of Columbus, Georgia. Three Great-grandchildren Milah Canionero of Columbus, Georgia, Braylon Ashley of Valdosta, Georgia and Little Canionaro of Columbus, Georgia loving siblings William Odom (Nadine) of Brunswick, Georgia Ruth Edmond of Millen, Georgia, Sadie Elmore (Wade), Lula Williams, of Allentown, Pa.; Mattie Miller (Edgar) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; and a host of family members and friends. Rest in peace our dear (Willie Mack) and may God forever keep you and bless you. With sincere love and affection. -Your family
