Wilma M. Walker, 82, of Brunswick died Sunday at her residence. Born in Chatterton on February 3, 1929 to Haywood and Miranda Pierce, Mrs. Walker was a devoted homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.She is survived by two sons, Earl Walker (Bertha) of St. Augustine, FL., and George Walker (Harriett) of Brunswick; three daughters, Sherry Chilson (Chuck), Gerry Smith (Roger) and Sylvia Smith (Johnny), all of Brunswick; one sister, Margaret Anderson (Homer) of Hortense; one brother, Elmer Pierce (Winifred) of Waycross; grandchildren, Brian Hunt, Chris Walker, Amanda Walker, Allison Walker, Beaver Walker, Heath Walker, Brandy Owens, Tonya Amie, Kelly Jones, Heather Chilson, Felicia Clark, Ashley Smith, Charles Chilson and Gene Chilson; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and longtime good friend, Alberta Owens. Her family will miss her witty sense of humor and her love for laughter.Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, of 54 years, Earl Walker, Sr.; her parents, Haywood and Miranda Pierce; and her sister, Mary Luke.
