Richard Parker and Cooper
Founder
Richard Parker founded Brunswick Memorial Park in 1986 when he purchased the cemetery, 9 years later he built what is now known as Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. In addition, he owns the Chapel Park Cemetery and Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens, which he purchased in 2004. In 2005 he built the crematory at Brunswick Memorial Park and opened the Golden Isles Cremation Center to complete the Parker Family Company. For over 18 years, Mr. Parker has passionately served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Cemetery Association and formerly held the title of President. He is currently the Vice President of the Georgia State Cemetery Board and has twice served as the President in the past.
Family is extremely important to Mr. Parker. He employs his daughter, Candice Jones, and his wife, Arlene is a former employee. His faithful companion, Cooper, comes to work with him everyday.
Richard not only enjoys working with his family, but values spending every moment possible with them. He enthusiastically supports his grandson in his Motocross endeavors. Traveling across the country to watch races whenever possible.

Justin McGriff

Justin, a native of Waycross, GA, brings over 15 years of experience as a first-generation funeral director to his role as Manager of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. He began his career in funeral service in 2010 while attending Ware County High School and after graduating earned an Associate of Science in Funeral Service from Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, GA.
Active in his professional community, Justin holds affiliations with the National Funeral Directors Association, the Georgia Funeral Directors Association, the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia, and the Independent Funeral Directors of Florida.
Outside of his professional life, Justin and his wife, Trisha Ulieme McGriff, are the proud parents of their daughter, Rhylen Sapphire. An avid outdoorsman and lifelong horse owner, Justin enjoys hunting, fishing, and has a background as a bull rider.

Candice Parker Jones may have been born in Atlanta, Georgia, but has been a resident of Brunswick since she was 5 years old. A true member of the Brunswick Memorial Park family, she is the daughter of Richard Parker. Candice began working in the funeral home in high school as part of a work-study program, but officially joined the Parker Family Company in 2001.
Candice is a devoted animal lover and proud rescue-dog mom to Stella and Gypsy. Her compassion for animals extends far beyond her own pets; she is the person who will happily pull over to help a turtle safely cross the road and absolutely refuses to watch a movie if she knows an animal gets hurt.
Family is at the heart of Candice’s life. She is the proud mother of her son, Cale, and she is married to Kevin Jones, a longtime law enforcement officer.
When she isn’t working, you can often find Candice exploring an estate sale in search of her next treasure. With a personality as colorful as her favorite vintage finds, —especially when they come in avocado green or orange! She enjoys good Mexican food, a refreshing Paloma, fresh seafood, and—most of all—sharing good food and good times with the people she loves.

Melody was born in Elizabeth City, NC, and graduated from East Carolina University in 1988 with a BBA. She began working for Lowe's when she was a senior in high school. After retiring from Lowe's (Commercial Credit Manager), she went to work as a Corporate Credit Manager for another company, then worked as a mortgage loan officer for several years before getting into the Funeral Home business seven years ago.
Surprisingly, Melody found that she loved working in the Funeral Home and felt that she may have found her calling helping people during some of the most difficult times. It also made her see the importance of Pre-Arranging and she is so glad that that is her main job here.
If you know Melody, you already know she loves Carson, her grandson, and her two children, Sidney and Sam.
Melody loves swimming - for fun and fitness, reading, crafting (wreath making), and hanging out with her family. She is a member of Hinesville First United Methodist Church. She also loves game nights with the girls and she is also a patron of the Savannah Repertory Theatre.

Angie found her home in Brunswick at just one-year-old. A true Georgia girl, she prioritizes family above all else and has found her calling in her service to the families here at Brunswick Memorial Park in her work as a funeral home administrator.
When not working diligently alongside the rest of our staff, Angie can often be found spending time with her son, Austin, her “Little Man,” grandson Braxton and granddaughter Madi. She enjoys spending her weekends curled up on the couch with a good throw blanket, a cup of Starbucks, and a good movie.
