He was born in Pamona, Tn., on top of Cumberland Mountain. He came to Brunswick for work in 1936, and married in 1937. He lived in Brunswick until moving to Camden, Co. in 1971 after retirement. He worked on Jekyll Island, Ga. at the power House until World War II broke out and stayed on to help close the Island....

Mrs. Owens was born in Nahunta, Georgia and moved to Brunswick in 1928. She was a homemaker most of her life, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was a beloved caretaker and nanny for the Laws, Willis and Flexer families throughout her lifetime.
